AOF to establish an International Researchers Network

Shortly after the conference, AOF held a working session with 25 delegates from nine foreign universities of Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, France, Germany and New Zealand to discuss the possibility of establishing a network of international researchers between the institutions.

The meeting was chaired by AOF Vice President – Pham Van Lien and was considered an important part of AOF’s international integration plan.

The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Lien – AOF Vice President. On behalf of the AOF’s Executive Board, associate professor started the talk with a brief introduction of AOF’s research activities and achievements as well as expressing deep thank to all the guests.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuc Anh Tu – Director of International Relations shared his views on the AOF’s initiative of international researcher network establishment.

Prof. Dr. Mark Holmes – University of Waikato (New Zealand) introduced his institution and recommended possibility of co-research activities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thanh Hoang – AOF Deputy Director of Scientific Research concluded the discussed contents between the representatives:

  1. Gradually set up the AOF international researcher network to improve the research qualities between the member universities;
  2. Periodically organize scientific research events between the universities;
  3. Continually expand membership to develop the network;
  4. Co-research projects and activities are qualified publications, papers, books, projects, etc. and are contributed to the enhancement of research qualities and research ranking;
  5. Organize annual students and lecturers exchange programs;
  6. Set up a link between international relations units of the member universities;
  7. Co-supports in implementing international-funded projects;
  8. Establish a joint-editorial board to improve the journal positioning;
  9. Present an initiative of periodic online and multimedia conferences.

Particularly, the students came from Faculty of Language, Advanced Education Program and Dual Degree Program highly impressed the foreign guests by excellent English and enthusiastic and timely supports.
