Advanced Education Program candidates qualified to TOP 6 - KICC 2019 Contest
AOF - December 20th, 2018, in the national contest tournament “KPMG Innovation & Collaboration Challenges - KICC 2019”, the AOF team with core candidates from Advanced Education Program qualified to TOP 6 best teams of the tournament.

The contest teams of the North and the judges

KICC 2019 is a contest initiated by KPMG global organized in member countries towards undergraduate students of economics and finance. The leading topic of the year 2019 is “What innovations would help to empower people in disadvantaged communities to take control of their own wealth and well-being”. The judges of the contest are specialists and senior managers of KPMG with recognized experience and professionale.

At national tournament, the organizing committee will select the best team representing KPMG Vietnam to attend the regional final contest.

AOF team

The AOF team consists of four members come from Advanced Education Program (AEP), they are Dang Bao Quyen, Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, Bui Minh Trang (CQ54/11CL2) and Luong Thanh Tung (CQ54/21CL2). After beating other opponents with their initiative of establishing a website and hotline for charities and donations based on linking three stakeholders: charity organizations, donators, auhorities and people living in difficulties (the first priorities are poor household and ethnic minorities living in the North). This idea helped the team passing the others and qualified at national TOP 6.

Dang Bao Quyen (CQ54/11CL2) of the team shared: This contest is a valuable experience and opportunity to learn from students of other universities. The pressure regarding time, quick response and questions from the judges is the essential skill needed for any student of economics and finance before dealing with practices. Furthermore, this is also a chance to learn important tips from comments and evaluation of the judges.

KICC 2019 is one of the most critical events for students that AOF has participation and success.

Significant achievements won by students of Advanced Education Program:

  • Champion of National Olympic Contest in Econometrics and Application 2018. In this winning team, there were three AEP students out of five members who directly presented research findings in English.
  • First Prize “English Talent Contest 2018” organized by Hanoi Youth Union which attracted more than 200 universities and colleges. The AOF team included five members among which there are two students from AEP.
  • Second Prizes of “English Festival” and “Best Presentation Award” of the Scientific Workshop for Students.
