The 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) has been changing the approach and practice of accounting and auditing globally. The context creates a “double” challenge to the accounting and auditing system in Vietnam. To keep on the further study about accounting and auditing in the new era, Academy of Finance, Thuong Mai University and ICAEW co-organized a state-level conference “Accounting and Auditing of Vietnam in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0: Opportunities and Challenges”.

The conference had more than 120 contribution papers in which 96 were published in the proceeding. In addition to the writings, there were also more than 10 direct contributions from the specialists. A highlight of the conference was the contributive participation of scientists from state agencies regarding accounting and auditing and authors representing professional associations, businesses and training bodies.

Faculty of Accounting – AOF was assigned to cooperate with Faculty of Accounting – TMU to co-organize the conference and took part in the academic sessions with more than 30 papers marking the leading contribution of AOF to the event.

Associate Professor Mai Ngoc Anh gave the closing speech marking the significant contribution of the conference to the accounting and auditing sector, he also emphasized that this topic was a global need for the transforming economies such as Vietnam.
