The Forum was held on 09th Nov, 2015 in London by the Ministry of Education, the Embassy of Vietnam and British Council with the support of the Board of Higher Education and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (ACCA). It was held in celebration of 5 years of strategic partnerships between Vietnam and the UK.
The MoUs were signed at the forum with the Academy of Finance, Foreign Trade University and the University of Economics - Da Nang University along with the attendance of Mr. Bui Van Ga, Deputy Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, senior representatives from Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and more than 80 universities from Vietnam and the UK.

The agreement between ACCA and the universities will help graduates to be equipped with necessary skills to work as well as to provide them an opportunity to experience and rub with actual working environment.
Ms. Helen Brand, OBE, General Director of ACCA, said: "This is a turning-point agreement for ACCA in Vietnam, where ACCA and the universities will jointly develop the training programs in finance and accounting with high quality because the demand for experts in finance and accounting with professional qualifications is on the rise in Vietnam and more broadly, the ASEAN economic region ".

The graduates today work not only to compete with students from other schools, but also from other countries, especially in the ASEAN region".

Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang, Vice Chancellor of Foreign Trade University, said: "Through this training program, students will be equipped with adequate knowledge and practical skills as a basis for finance - accounting - audit sector to become specialists operating in the global environment.

Reportedly, ACCA is the largest professional association and the world's fastest growing organization in Accounting - Auditing sector with nearly 455,000 students and 178,000 members in 183 countries around the world. ACCA Vietnam was established in 2002.
