ESP – English for finance Coursebook for standard bachelor education (XB năm 2024)

For the purpose of helping students at the Academy of Finance (AOF) improve their foreign language competence, Teachers of Foreign Language Department, Foreign Language Faculty, AOF were assigned to design the course book "ESP - English for Finance Course-book for Standard Bachelor Education - Giáo trình tiếng Anh chuyên ngành dành cho chương trình chuẩn”

This course book is designed for the students of Bachelor Education Program for meeting the needs of improving business English which is related to the professional working environment. In a global workplace, it is increasingly important for students to learn the language of business relating to majors in economics such as finance, banking, accounting, auditing, taxation, insurance and so on if they want to be successful in their jobs in the future. But in addition to the language, it is important to be familiar with key business concepts and developments, and to understand how business works in different cultures. The resources of reading texts from Economics or Finance magazines or some course books "You are in Business". "IGCSE and O Level Accounting", "Business English Handbook", "English for Business Studies", "Economics of Money, Banking and Financial Markets", and so on that the authors use to design different types of language learning tasks provide extensive coverage of knowledge in economics, news, current trends and the latest ideas from around the world.

For the upper-intermediate course book, the authors have tried to select topics which cover subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, money anda banking, accounting, international business, etc. It is expected that the course book gives an overview of business today as well as something of interest to everyone. Students will be able to learn more about the business world and, at the same time, see how key language (both spoken and written) is used in real contexts.

Each unit has a central theme or themes. Exercises practical activities are developed around this to practice key vocabulary areas and skills of reading, writing ande translating.

Finally, the upper-intermediate course book is designed suitably with the syllabus of six credits for the purpose of helping students at upper-intermediate level to improve knowledge of business English, together with practicing language skills at the same time.

The course book is accompanied by a separate Workbook that provides comprehensive exercises and activities for students' self-studying outside the class hours. The Workbook will be designed by the group of authors soon with the same topics chosen in the Course book. The authors hope that students of Bachelor Education Program as well as other interested students will find this course book enjovable and beneficial.
