Progressive English for advanced bachelor education program (XB năm 2020)

For the purpose of helping students at the Academy of Finance (AOF) improve their foreign language competence, Teachers of Foreign Language Department, Foreign Language Faculty, AOF were assigned to design the course book "PROGRESSIVE ENGLISH FOR ADVANCED BACHELOR EDUCATION PROGRAM"

This course book is designed for the students of Advanced Bachelor Education Program for meeting the needs of improving business English which is related to working environment.

In a global workplace, it is increasingly important for students to learn the language of business if they want to be successful in their jobs in the future. But in addition to the language, it is important to be familiar with key business concepts and developments, and to understand how business works in different cultures. The resources of reading texts from Economist magazines or some course books "Intelligent Business", "Market Leader" or "Business English" that the authors use to design different types of language learning tasks provide extensive coverage of news, current trends and the latest ideas from around the world.

For the pre-intermediate course book, the authors have tried to select topics which cover general business activities such as company operation, marketing, production, recruitment and so on. It is expected that the course book give an overview of business today as well as something of interest to everyone. Students will be able to learn more about the business world and, at the same time, see how key language (both spoken and written) is used in real contexts.

Each unit has a central theme or themes. Exercises and practical activities are developed around this to practice the key grammar and vocabulary areas.

Finally, the pre-intermediate course book is designed suitably with the syllabus of four credits for the purpose of helping students at pre-intermediate level to improve knowledge of business English, together with practicing four language skills at the same time.

The course book consists of six Units and two Revisions as follows:

Unit 1: Company activitieso bns

Unit 2: Job application and recruitment

Unit 3: Success stories

Revision 1

Unit 4: Marketing

Unit 5: Productivity

Unit 6: Price

Revision 2

The course book is accompanied by a separate Workbook that provides comprehensive exercises and activities for students' self-studying outside the class hours. The Workbook will be designed by the group of authors soon with the same topics chosen in the Course book. The authors hope that students of Advanced Bachelor Education Program as well as other interested students will find this course book enjoyable and beneficial.
