Group financial analysis (XB năm 2021)

Economic groups (EGs) follow objective economic rules, demands of practice and current trends of development. As a result, they have continued to thrive and develop since their establishment in the market economy. Economic groups are formed through the combination of endogenous and exogenous development, economic linkages or established by the decisions of governments. The main aims of economic groups are to accumulate capital from many small business entities, to enhance financial capability, to participate in the global supply chain of goods and services, to enhance market competitiveness and to maximize their owners’benefits. Economic groups in Vietnam possess the same general goals and origins of establishment. Since economic groups are established by mergers, acquisitions and consolidations of other companies, they have more complex economic transactions, a wider scope of operations and more diversified business than those of separate entities. Consequently, economic groups are more strictly managed and controlled by their management team and shareholders than those of separate entities. Therefore, studying economic group management tools, including financial management tools within Vietnamese economic groups, is an urgent theoretical and practical requirement in the current market economy.

The Academy of Finance (AOF) is one of the leading finance and accounting training institutions in Vietnam. For over 55 years, The Academy of Finance has been a pioneer of research and education in finance, accounting and financial analysis. Its publications on the financial management of economic groups are highly appreciated.
