Academy of Finance celebrates the 44th National Day of Lao PDR
On the event of the National Day of Lao People’s Democratic Republic (December 2nd, 2019), the Academy of Finance held a celebration meeting with international students from Laos. The meeting took place at the main campus of AOF.
There were honorable attendance of Associate Professor Truong Thi Thuy (AOF Vice President), Truong Van Quy M.A (Deputy Secretary of Communist Party Committee), Associate Professor Nguyen Xuan Thach (Head of Politics and Student Affairs), guests and international students from Laos who were studying at the AOF and the University of Mining and Geology.

Vice President Truong Thi Thuy spoke at the meeting on behalf of AOF’s Management Board wishing health, luck, prosperity and eternal friendship between Vietnam and Laos. She also briefed on the long friendship history between the two countries and the Lao student stories at the academy since the early days until present.

Student Thanva Xaypanyasit representing all the Lao students who were studying at AOF and UMG expressed her deep gratitude toward the carefulness and supports of AOF’s lecturers and students during their stay in Vietnam. She also promised to study and work at their best effort to promote the friendship and inspire the other students.

After the ceremony, a banquet was prepared with music shows celebrating the spirit of National Day and the friendship such as Lam Vong dance, Lao traditional folk songs, Vietnamese folk songs,…
National Day celebration is an annual event organized by the AOF showing the respect and sharing between the academy and international students from Laos. This event is considered one of the most important activities to sustain and develop the friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
