Academy of Finance has organized Laos students to welcome their 2021 traditional New Year of Bun pi May
In the morning of April 14, at the headquarters - No. 58, Le Van Hien, Duc Thang, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi, the Academy of Finance organized Laos students to celebrate the traditional Bun pi May holiday with important rituals according to traditions of the tribes of Laos.
Attending and congratulating the New Year’s Bun pi may Laos, there are PhD., Nguyen Dao Tung, Deputy Director of the Academy of Finance; PhD., Luu Huu Duc - Head of Political and student Affairs Department and leaders representatives of Departments, Faculties, functional units, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Student Union of the Academy of Finance.
On this occasion, PhD., Nguyen Dao Tung, Deputy Director of the Academy gave New Year greetings to the families of Laos students and reviewed the history of the past 45 years in training human resources in economics - finance for Lao from Bachelor, Master to Doctorate of the Academy of Finance. The Academy has supported to upgrade the Dong Kham Xang Finance College to the Laos Academy of Economics and Finance, and the Academy also has opened many training classes for key officials of the Laos Ministry of Finance. Many key officers of the Laos Finance Ministry have been fostered in terms of expertise, profession, and ability to translate Vietnamese. Through that, the friendship between Vietnam and Laos has been strengthened and tightened. PhD., Nguyen Dao Tung wished, with the activities of welcoming the traditional Laos New Year at the Academy, will help Laos students ease their homesickness.

On behalf of the Laos students, VTLA KHONE – student of K28 cohort master program sent his thanks and best wishes to the Party Committee, Board of Directors, all staff and lecturers of the Academy. VTLA KHONE expressed their joy and emotion about the Academy's attention for Laos students and pledged to study and practice well as well as take responsibility in preserving and promoting the Vietnam-Laos friendship.

Rites of tying wrists, splashing water for blessings, health and good things ... are important rituals in the tradition of the Lao tribes' Bun pi May festival that has been realized by the Laos students. This beautiful culture of Laos people has long become familiar with the staff, lecturers and students of the Academy of Finance in particular, Vietnamese people in general.
