A student of Advanced Education Program (AOF) won the First Prize “Breaking The Limit 2018”
AOF – Tran Thi Dieu Ngan and other four AOF students won the internships of Deloitte since their third year at university. More importantly, Dieu Ngan was also one of the five best students who recently won the First Prize “Breaking The Limit 2018”.

2018 was the first year Deloitte started the program “Deloitte Passport” that allowed the second and third year students to access professional working environment of a foreign firm. Previously, the Big Four in Vietnam only recruited the fourth year students for their internships.

Tran Dieu Ngan is a third year student (CQ54/11CL.01) who is following Advanced Education Program (AEP), Faculty of Corporate Finance. She is among fourteen others in Hanoi to win the Deloitte internship right at the third year. Ngan said “For a third year student, this is the right time to get assessment on myself to understand what I should do in the coming time”. Her journey to Deloitte is a great and longtime capacity building and effort, especially when studying in the AEP, she has good chance to improve soft skills in addition to studying.

To achieve this winning, Ngan and other contestants had to past three competitions in the last two months. Her final challenge was the final night “Breaking The Limit”. Ngan shared her experience that English is a factor in her success as for all the competitions, candidates had to use English.

Together with Ngan, AOF has other four students winning internship at Deloitte – two from AEP and two from the Dual Degree Program. All of them will visit Singapore for three days and be awarded the total ICAEW-CFAB scholarships as well.

Becoming internship student at Deloitte and winning the First Prize “Breaking The Limit 2018” are the highlights in life of any student like Ngan. It is still too soon to talk about future, but these successes are the very important motivators because like all the other AOF alumni share the same experience “Determination, enthusiasm, self-motivation and dynamic learning environment are keys to success of any AOF student”.
