The 2nd ACCA and Partners Day in AOF: AOF student – The power of future – Ready talent in Digital Age
The interactive event was held by ACCA and partners to provide AOF students readiness for the future “AOF student – The power of future – Ready talent in the Digital Age”. The event took place on January 6th 2020 at AOF main campus, 58 Le Van Hien, Duc Thang, Hanoi.

On the partners side, there were attendances of senior managers from global companies in Vietnam such as KPMG Vietnam, Deloitte Vietnam, Nexia STT, Techcombank, RSM Vietnam, Mazars Vietnam, IBM Vietnam, FTMS Global ACCA, TNG Holdings Vietnam, Vietsourcing, Smart Train, SAPP Academy, etc.

On the AOF side, there were honour attendances of AOF’s vice presidents: Associate professor Truong Thi Thuy, Associate professor Nguyen Vu Viet and Doctor Nguyen Dao Tung.

And hundreds of tutors and students of AOF who were also attending the event.

In her opening speech, Associate professor Truong Thi Thuy expressed her appreciation for the close relationship between AOF and partners. She noted that the event was a partnership activity which would be held annually in the earlier of each year to kick start other highlight programs.

The vice president also hoped that the relationship between AOF and ACCA and partners would be furthermore developed through the bunch of activities and events to help students improve their academic background and professional skills. The activities of this kind would be a way to inspire the creativity of the students in the future. She emphasized “Luck is a blended mixture of readiness and opportunities”, so AOF students need to equip themselves with comprehensive understanding of academic background and professional skills to be ready for the new opportunities of the digital age.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Minh Chau, Head of Mekong at ACCA Global showed her deep gratitude toward the support of the Management Board, faculties and students of AOF for ACCA in the past. She highlighed that ACCA and AOF had a long-term strategic partnership to give students with better study and work opportunities. The event is one of the activities to realize the commitments between the two bodies.

Ms. Pham Thi Hong Anh, Deputy General Director of EY Vietnam also shared: The activities of EY Vietnam as well as other partners provide AOF students with favourable conditions, the ability to seize job opportunities, career promotion - especially in the digital age. Many of the AOF alumni have held important positions in EY as well as other partner businesses.

At the meeting, there were 10 topics on career practices and job skills, the AOF students were shared on communication skills, career skills and core issues of accounting, auditing and finance sustainable development ... in the digital age by well-known speakers from ACCA and partners such as: Mr. Jimmy Greer - Head of Sustainable Development - ACCA Global; Mr. Pham Xuan Lam, Senior Manager of Business & Membership ACCA Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Tax Partner, EY Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Minh Hien - Training Director of Deloitte Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Deputy General Director of Nexia STT; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hang - Senior specialist of strategic initiatives Techcombank; Mr. Dam Xuan Lam - Deputy General Director of KPMG Vietnam; Mr. Hoang Anh Tu - Deputy Manager of Audit Department, RSM Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Chief Accountant of IBM Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Nang Huong - CFO, TNG Holdings Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang – Director, Vietsourcing; Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai - Training Director, SAPP Academy.

In addition, there were also consulting activities at the consulting desk of the businesses and training center: sweepstakes, minigames; CV counseling corner - career orientation, lucky coupons; scholarship programs and employment information for students.

Sharing feelings about the activities of the festival, student Pham Thuy An, class CQ7 / 21.01CL said: These are extremely useful activities. I myself find that in the digital age, job opportunities and career promotion are expanded when there is sufficient professional knowledge and active preparation.
