1. Establishment and Development

       Institute of International  Financial Education (IIFE) was established by Decision No.3207/Ministry of Finance dated December 7th, 2010 of Minister of Finance. The establishment IIFE is a strategic step in the process of international integration of the Academy of Finance (AOF). IIFE mission is “to build and develop international training partnership programs, exchange of scientific research with foreign partners”.
    Regarding the legal status, IIFE been identified as one of the business units operate in the field of AOF in training, scintific research and financial consulting. IIFE own seal and may open accounts at the State Treasury and the bank as prescribed.
Inheriting the tradition more than 50 years of training and scientific research of Academy, IIFE was, is and will always be ready to perform the tasks as a bridge of cooperation, partnership and joint training with the University in the world, contributed actively to implement intergration strategy for higher education and scientific research, outreach the world of AOF.
IIFE currently deployed and managing affiliate programs at both the master and bachelor’s degree. IIFE’s parters are major partners, have known of England and New Zealand. Generations of students have been studying at IIFE has asserted position in the training IIFE affiliate in Vietnam. Also, IIFE continues to maintain regular 4-5 English classes in the framwork of the preparatory program in English and Ielts in IIFE; maintain short-term training courses in professional and soft skills. In particular, IIFE has collaborated with Victoria University of Wellington for management organization and trained 32 State Treasury staff in New Zealand on the management of nation funds and national accounting general.

2. Functions, Duties and Authorities
IIFE’s function, duties are specified in Decision No.971 Academy of Finance on September 23rd, 2010 of Director of Academy of Finance, according to which IIFE with the finctions and duties are mainly as follows:
-    Organize, develop and implement joint training programs internationally, including content development, partnership cooperation program, international joint training, implementation and management of programs codeshare cooperation, international joint training levels of education (bachelor, master, doctorate).
-    Organize training and retraining of short, local and international (foreign elements) in order to improve professional capacity, economic and financing operations for organizations and individuals at home and abroad under contract.
-     Scientific research on topics, projects, organization seminars, symposiums on the order or the request of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology… or collaborative research, cooperating organizations workshop units, universities around the world to study international experience in economics, finance, strengthen exchanges and international integration of scientific research.
-    Organizeoffers consulting services in finance, economics, transfer and application of scientific research results on orders oforganizations and individuals at home and abroad.
-    Propose, send officer to study, research, work, teach abroad. Invite experts, lecturers and foreign students to teaching, research, exchange ofexperience and studing in IIFE.
