1. Corporate history

Veterans of University of Finance and Accounting Hanoi was established on April 27^th, 2000 by Decision No.90 of Executive committee Hanoi Veterans. Membership as early as 56 members.

March 4^th, 2003 renamed Veterans Association Academy of Finance under the Hanoi Veterans. The current number of members up to 106 members.

2. Functions and duties
   1. Functions

Veterans Association represents the will, aspirations and legitimate rights of Veterans Affairs committees advise and serve as the core set, solidarity advocacy Veterans perform political-social tasks of the revolution. Participate in monitoring activity of State Agencies, elected representatives and State Officials.

-Gather, solidarity, fostering and encourage Veterans to continue practicing, strive to improve their political and moral revolution, the level of knowledge about the way the Party’s policies and State laws, knowledge of economics, culture, science and technology… Implement good obligations of citizens, officers and employees; are determined to fight against the wrong ideological perspective, prevent and overcome ideological conservatism and stagnation

- Participate in the construction and protection of the Party, the government, the Socialist regime; implement democratic regulations, anti-conspiracy “happenings peace”, turmoils of the hostile forces, maintain social and political stability, strengthen national defense and security.

- Organize helping each other to improve material life and spiritual, family economic development, poverty reduction; promote friendship activities, mutual assistance in life, protect the legitimate rights and legality of Veterans, recommend to the Party and State in the formulation and implementation of policies for the Veterans, policies army rear.

- Participate in the implementation of the task of building and development: economic, culture, society of the country’s hinterland.

- Contribute actively to the education of the younger generation of traditional and revolutionary heroism, self-reliance will, patriotism, love of socialism following the previous generations to complete the task of building and protecting the country; gather, train, motivate and promote the positive role of the Veterans at the grassroots.

- Join the people’s external activities, contribute to the implementation of foreign policy guidelines of the Part and State.

3. A number of activities since its inception to now

- About the organization: Regularly strengthen and save the entire organizational structure to match the Union characteristics and situation of the agency.

- Implement successfully functions anf duties of Union, preservate and promote the traditional “Uncle Ho’s soldies” of all members. Each member despite official positions also complete the assigned work and reach the Excellent Achievements.

- Collaborate with other organizations as well the traditional education through sports, cultural and artistic activities…

- Participate actively in the Gratitude movement, build houses of Gratitude, poverty alleviation…

- Regularly take care of the material and spirit life to its members, especially when they are sick or have lost loved ones or have difficulty in the life are encouraged timely visit.
