2. Establishment and development process

The Faculty of Political Theory was established by Decision No. 435 / QD-HVTC dated May 7, 2008 of the Director of Academy of Finance, on the basic of the Marxist-Leninism faculty founded in 1963 and the Faculty of Marxist-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh ideal was established under Decision No. 1237 / QD-BTC dated May 15, 2003 of the Minister of Finance.

3. Mission functions

The Faculty is responsible for teaching and scientific research on the scientific subjects of Marxist-Leninism political theory and Ho Chi Minh Ideal.

The team of officials and employees in the faculty: 40 (01 associate professor, 11 PhD, 25 MSc, 14 main lecturers, 04 lecturers are attending Fellow PhD class outside the Academy).

5. The teaching subjects of the faculty:

    - The fundamental principles of Marxism-Leninism

    - The revolutionary direction of the Communist Party of Vietnam

    - Ho Chi Minh Ideals studies

    - Sociology

    - History of economic theories

    - Vietnamese cultural foundation

6. Major achievements in training, scientific research and other activities

    - For many years, the Faculty has continuously taught, researched and instructed the students of all programs of Academy of Finance: Full time, Part- time, Dual Degree Program, Domestic and international Top-ups. Teaching and scientifical research for graduates, fellows PhD and students of Laos according to the training volume of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education and Training, and Academy of Finance.

    - Scientific research: Annually, the faculty organizes scientific conferences in teachers' block, guides students in scientific research to take the faculty and Academy level exams to win high prizes. Instructing students to take the Olimpic exam in Marxist-Leninism sciences and Ho Chi Minh's Ideals to win the second prize in the Northern region organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. The faculty has organizes seminars, compiled textbooks, lecture outlines, organized examinations for excellent students of the school year, successfully defended many ministry and academy-level subjects

  For many years, the faculties and departments won the title of Minister of Merit and the excellent labor collective at the ministerial level.

   - 09 Comrades were awarded certificates of merit to the Prime Minister

   - 12 comrades were awarded medals for the education career

   Individuals: Every year, 70% of teachers get the emulation soldier title, 30% of teachers achieve the title of merit of the Minister and the emulation soldier title of the Finance sector.
