The Department of Investment and Development Project Management (referred to as the Project Management Department) was established on December 29th, 2009 under Decision No. 1358/QD-HVTC signed by Director of the Academy of Finance.

II. Foundation and development:
- The Department of Investment and Development Project Management (later referred to as the Project Management Department) was established on December 29th, 2009 under Decision No. 1358/QD-HVTC signed by Director of the Academy of Finance.
- Available staffs: 3 full-time staffs (including 02 civil engineers, 01 bachelor of economics) and 02 part-time staffs .
III. Functions and Responsibilities
- Project Management Department functions as the consultant to the director of the Academy in organization and management of investment projects held by the Academy in accordance with current regulation of the State on management of construction projects.
- The Project Management Department hold responsibilities before the Director of AOF and State Law for its activities.

V. Achievement:
● Completed the preparation of investment project on building infrastructure systems of the Urban University - Academy of Finance; completed the architectural design plans (the project was handed over to the Management Department of Development Projects Ministry of Finance since 15/7/2012).
● 9 out of 11.5 hectares of land has been cleared.
