| Introduction |
Faculty of Accounting was established since the very early time of University of Finance and Accounting (former name of Academy of Finance in 1963).
Spanning more than a half century, Faculty of Accounting has constantly been the largest unit under AOF which has trained and conferred degrees to thousands of students.
Presently, the faculty has more than 70 lecturers consisting 02 professor, 10 associate professors, 20 doctors and 46 masters and 10 external specialists who are participating in delivering courses of accounting and auditing to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
With its considerable contributions for the past more than 50 years, Faculty of Accounting has been awarded a Second-Class Medal of Labour, 06 Third-Class Medal of Labour and series of Certificate of Compliments by the Party, the State and Prime Minister.

| Functions and Responsibilities |
Faculty of Accounting is empowered with academic training and management of two principles: Business accounting and Auditing which are divided into four departments namely Financial Accounting Dept (22 lecturers), Management Accounting Dept (15 lecturers), Auditing Dept (16 lecturers) and Fundamentals of Accounting Dept (14 lecturers).
The faculty is in charge of delivering courses to 124 undergraduate classes with more than 4,200 students. The entire courses to be delivered are provided with textbooks, reference books and monographs.
In addition to training, Faculty of Accounting is also leading the academy with its achievements in scientific research including hundreds of state-, ministry-levels projects especially a large number of projects conducted by lecturers have been applied effectively to the reforms of accounting system of Vietnam.
